01 MEMBERSHIP02 GOALS03 WHAT MAKES US US 04 CORE RULES05 MISSIONS & TOURS06 ACARS07 FLIGHT RULES

Membership Requirements

1
Be at least 15 years old.
2
Own a flight simulation platform (MSFS, X-Plane, P3D or FSX).
3
Have basic flying knowledge — our Flight Academy will take you the rest of the way.
4
Be able to complete the monthly mission flights.
5
Fly at least 1 flight every 30 days.
6
Have a working internet connection (live tracking & PIREP filing).
7
Hold membership in at most 1 other virtual airline, and only with staff knowledge.
8
Not have been expelled from any VA for misconduct.

Our Goals

1
Make virtual aviation loved — and keep it alive.
2
Bring virtual aviators together under one roof.
3
Be a virtual airline built on tolerance and respect.
4
Build a sense of duty and professionalism.
5
Support every member who needs help.
6
Fly realistically — every single leg.

What Makes Us Us

1
Aircraft freedom — no rank-gating: every member can fly any aircraft in the fleet from day one.
2
Platform freedom — fly offline or online (VATSIM & IVAO) with your GKT callsign.
3
Friendship & mentoring — new members always get help, and training when needed.
4
Group online flights — regular events for a more realistic, more fun sky.
5
Realism & technology — our own GokturkACARS scores every flight against real-world procedures.
6
Add-on sharing — the latest add-ons for our simulators, shared within the community.

Core Rules

1
Members must follow the law and treat each other with respect — no insults, accusations or harmful links within the community.
2
Demeaning remarks or baseless claims about other members end in membership cancellation.
3
Minimum 1 flight per month, plus the monthly mission flight unless a valid excuse is given.
4
For realism, flying for another VA is not appropriate — with staff approval, membership in 1 other VA may be permitted.
5
New applicants must complete at least 1 flight within their first week so their skill level can be assessed.
6
General flight rules apply on online networks too — and GokturkACARS must record every flight.
7
Members and staff act only within their assigned roles.
8
Only aircraft in our fleet may be flown — see the Fleet page.
9
Members removed from the VA cannot rejoin unless unanimously approved by the review board.
10
Community group rules must be followed; members who fall inactive are removed from the group.
11
The entry exam must be taken within 1.5 months; retakes are granted after a failed attempt.
12
Skipping mission flights leads to rank reduction; membership of pilots with no flights for 2 months without excuse is terminated.

Mission Flights & Tours

1
A new mission is issued every month, automatically — see the banner on the homepage and the featured card on Events.
2
Fly it any day within the month with any fleet aircraft; when the month ends, a new destination is drawn.
3
Record the flight with GokturkACARS and file the PIREP as usual — it counts once approved.
4
Rejected mission flights must be re-flown until approved.
5
Missions are mandatory unless excused — see Core Rule 12 for sanctions.
1
Tours are multi-leg adventures; each completed tour earns its unique badge.
2
Tour legs must be flown in order.
3
Write the tour name and leg number in the ACARS comments field.
4
Rejected legs are re-flown before continuing.
5
On the final leg, note "final leg" in comments and inform staff to claim the badge.

GokturkACARS — The Flight Recorder

1
GokturkACARS reads your flight live from the simulator, records it and files the PIREP. Get it from the Downloads page.
2
Sign in with your Pilot ID and crew password; select your platform and aircraft before starting.
3
Every flight must be recorded — un-recorded flights don't exist.
4
Full manual with tabs, scoring and troubleshooting: Flight Academy → Section 04.

Flight Rules — What Gets a Flight Rejected

The point: a flight is approved when it looks like a real airline flight. Each rule below, if violated, is a rejection reason regardless of your score percentage.
1
Tail strike: exceeding the pitch limit of your type on takeoff or landing. Limits are listed per aircraft on the Fleet page (e.g. 737-800 ≈ 11° — 10 is fine, 11 is not).
2
Range: flying beyond the maximum range of the aircraft used.
3
Fleet only: flying an aircraft outside our fleet list.
4
Complete log: the log must contain the full flight cycle — Pushback, Taxi, Takeoff, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, Landed, Taxi to gate, Offloading.
5
No slew — teleporting/repositioning during flight.
6
Landing rate: touching down at −401 fpm or harder.
7
No stall: a "Stall" entry in the log rejects the flight.
8
Fuel sanity: taking off with completely full tanks, or landing below 2,000 lbs / above 50,000 lbs. Light GA aircraft (C172) are exempt.
9
Taxi speed: stay under 25 kt — a "Taxi Speed Exceeded" entry rejects the flight regardless of score.
10
Landing lights: climb — off passing ≈10,000 ft (window 7–17k); descent — on passing ≈10,000 ft (window 17–7k). Light violations are rejections regardless of score.
11
Landing gear: forgetting gear up after takeoff — or gear down before landing.
12
No time compression: sim rate must stay at .
13
Score ≠ approval: 100% success doesn't guarantee approval — but below 50% is an automatic rejection (it means a hard rule was broken).
14
Crash entries reject the flight.
15
Real airports only — if an airport name is wrong in ACARS, report it via the comment field.
16
Extreme ground winds: if 50 kt-class winds push your taxi speed over the limit, pause, take a screenshot showing the Windows clock and the METAR, upload it and add the link to your PIREP comment. Same procedure for scenery-related crashes after landing.
17
Overspeed: weather-related overspeeds happen — but if 2 minutes or more pass between "Overspeed" and "Overspeed Recovered", the flight is rejected regardless of score.
18
Rejected mission flights are repeated until approved.
19
Flights are reviewed within 24–48 hours in the Admin Center.
20
The rejection reason is always written in the flight's comment field — check your flight detail page.
Living document: rules can change and new ones can be added — this page is always the latest version. Questions? Ask any staff member.
