You just joined Gokturk Virtual. This guide takes you from an empty simulator to a logged, approved first flight — software, aircraft, setup and the flight itself, step by step.
Everything starts with your pilot ID — it is your login for the website and for the ACARS software.
Register at Join the Crew. You receive a pilot ID such as GKT0019 and a callsign like GKT1MD.
Sign in to the Crew Center — this is your home: bookings, logbook, licence, badges and checkrides.
Read the VA Rules once. Twenty flight rules decide whether a flight is approved — knowing them saves you a rejected PIREP.
GokturkACARS is our own flight recorder. Without it a flight does not count — it reads the simulator live, scores your procedures and files the PIREP for you.
Go to Downloads and get GokturkACARS v4.5 (~75 MB, Windows 10/11).
Extract the RAR with WinRAR or 7-Zip, then run GokturkACARS-Setup.exe.
Right-click the shortcut → Run as administrator. Without admin rights the program cannot read some simulators.
Sign in with your Pilot ID (GKT0019) and your crew password — the same one you use on this website.
In Settings pick your language (TR/EN) and a theme. In Route enter your SimBrief username once — see SimBrief Dispatch.
You may fly any aircraft in our fleet from day one — no rank gates. What matters is that the aircraft models real systems, because our rules are built on real procedures.
| Aircraft | Platform | Why it is a good start |
|---|---|---|
| FlyByWire A32NX | MSFS · free | Free, deep systems, constantly updated — the best no-cost start. |
| Zibo 737-800 | X-Plane · free | Legendary freeware, study-level 737 — matches our main fleet type. |
| PMDG 737 | MSFS / P3D | The gold standard Boeing — every system, every failure. |
| Fenix A320 | MSFS | The deepest Airbus simulation available today. |
| ToLiss A321/A340 | X-Plane | Detailed FMGS and realistic failures. |
Install the aircraft into your simulator (Community folder for MSFS, Aircraft folder for X-Plane, or the installer for P3D/FSX).
Load it once at a gate and let it fully initialise before you start ACARS — half-loaded aircraft cause connection problems.
Check the tail-strike limit of your type on the Fleet page before your first rotation.
ACARS needs a data bridge to read your simulator. Which one depends on your platform.
| Simulator | Bridge | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| MSFS 2020 / 2024 | SimConnect | Nothing — it is built in. Just start the sim before ACARS. |
| X-Plane 11 / 12 | UDP | Settings → Network → enable data output; allow X-Plane through the Windows firewall. |
| P3D v4/v5 | FSUIPC5/6 | Download FSUIPC from fsuipc.com, install it, run the sim once so it registers. |
| FSX / FSX-SE | FSUIPC4 | Install FSUIPC4 into the FSX Modules folder, then start FSX once. |
Install the bridge for your platform (the free version of FSUIPC is enough for ACARS).
Start the simulator first, load your aircraft at a gate, then open ACARS and press Connect.
The SIM indicator must turn green. If it does not: run ACARS as administrator, check the firewall, and make sure the aircraft is fully loaded.
Keep the first one short and familiar: LTFM → LTAI (Istanbul to Antalya) is about one hour and forgiving.
Create the plan on SimBrief: origin LTFM, destination LTAI, alternate LTBS, your aircraft type, then Auto-Generate the route.
In ACARS → Route, press Fetch OFP — flight number, route, fuel and passengers fill in automatically.
Load the route into the aircraft: CO ROUTE on Boeing FMC, INIT REQUEST* on Airbus MCDU. Full walkthrough in the Academy.
Select your aircraft in ACARS (mandatory) and press START at the gate with engines off and the parking brake set.
These are the points our recorder actually watches. Get these right and your flight will be approved.
Before pushback
Nav lights and beacon on before engine start. Pushback only after the parking brake is released.
Taxi
Taxi lights on, stay under 25 kt — exceeding it rejects the flight regardless of score.
Climb
Landing lights off passing about 10.000 ft, gear up, max 250 kt below 10.000 ft.
Descent
Landing lights on passing about 10.000 ft, gear down before final, stable by 1.000 ft.
Touchdown
Aim for −150 fpm. Harder than −400 fpm is an automatic rejection.
At the gate
Taxi lights off, parking brake set, engines off — then END FLIGHT and FILE PIREP.
